Jinichi Uekusa was a Japanese artist, editor, critic and writer who championed film, jazz, literature, and youth subcultures. Known for his scrapbook style collages, he became a cult figure in the 1960s and 70s for introducing younger readers to foreign cinema, avant-garde art, and emerging countercultural trends in Japan.
